  22. OK, they're gone again.  I uploaded some MIDI files and went to get the
  23. vocal patches from the submit directory at epas.  Gone!  I don't know if
  24. this is part of the merge-and-purge or if somebody's playing games again.
  25. Should I upload my stuff again?  Where else can I get those vocal patches?

  35. Today's Musician's Digest had many replies on using multiple output
  36. devices in Cakewalk (including my own). Having gone home, and tried
  37. it, I think I see what the original person's problem was.
  38.  
  39. In the Settings/MIDI devices dialog, you actually have to *highlight*
  40. the devices you want to use - its not enough them being listed in the
  41. box, indeed there is no way of removing an entry from the box.
  42.  
  43. However many devices you highlight, the port number will cycle round
  44. them repeatedly up to 16, e.g. if you have 3 devices, then port 4
  45. is the same as port 1.
  46.  
  47. Maybe our MIDI experts know - is this 'port number' thing actually stored
  48. in a MIDI file? I thought not, but I see that the chris mid with the
  49. latest GUS updates loads into the CakeWalk demo with two different
  50. ports selected (admittedly, one of the ports is only on the 'comment'
  51. or 'title' tracks).

  53. Finally - a polite request to our new sysadmin (or is it still ddebry?) -
  54. how about getting the Digest numbers back on the rails again!
